Students learning about mining and sustainability
Educational partnership between Imperial College London, SENAI/CIMATEC, and Brazil Iron

About the course

The initiative that meets all these requirements is a training course designed for students and professionals with an engineering background who wish to learn about mining, geology, and sustainability and enter one of the largest economies in Brazil.

This project is the result of a partnership between Imperial College London, the world’s leading university for studying and researching metals and mining; SENAI/CIMATEC, a reference for innovation and technological research; CBPM (Bahian Company for Mineral Research), one of the most efficient Brazilian institutions in promoting mining; and Brazil Iron, a company developing one of the most significant decarbonization projects in the country’s industry.

The course is free and open to candidates from Bahia, which is currently the third-largest mining market in Brazil.

The goal is to enhance the local workforce and provide employment opportunities for those who complete the course.
