1. INTRODUCTION
This manual aims to describe the occupational health and safety obligations related to services contracted for the BIML Fazenda Mocó unit. It serves as a guide for both contractors and subcontractors, with immediate implementation. Additional occupational health and safety requirements may be imposed on contracted companies to control risks not addressed in this document.

2. OBJECTIVE
To provide parameters for contracted companies and individuals aligned with Workplace Safety regulatory standards, indicating behaviors and documents to be delivered to the contracting party. It aims to identify hazards and risks associated with their activities and clearly outline control measures. The contracted company must comply with Brazil Iron’s requests, arising from the evaluation of submitted documentation and workplace audits.

3. DOCUMENTATION FOR PERMANENT SERVICES
Permanent services refer to contracts lasting more than 30 days, whether or not they are service amendments to Brazil Iron. Even if required by labor laws and/or regulations, the request for documents must be specified in the contract or contractual amendment, with the following delivery deadlines:

  1. Employee Documents – to be delivered up to 2 days before the start of activity: a. Copy of employee registration form; b. Copy of Work Card (photo/civil qualification/contract page); c. Copy of ID and CPF and/or regional council document; d. Copy of driver’s license for drivers/equipment operators; e. Service Order – NR 1; f. Copy of legal training certificate (if required); g. Copy of PPE delivery form; h. Copy of valid ASO, according to function, activity to be performed and risks indicated in the company’s PCMSO.
  2. Service provider company documents – to be delivered at the start of activities: a. Scope of activities with description; b. Completion of a PRA at the time of activity recognition; c. PPRA – Environmental Risk Prevention Program or PGR – Risk Management Program considering service execution on site; d. PCMSO – Occupational Health Medical Control Program; e. PCMAT – in case of civil construction work with more than 20 employees, the company must provide the PCMAT; f. LTCAT – The company must document with measurements and sampling of the quantity of potentially harmful agents listed in the PPRA that may be harmful to workers.

4. DOCUMENTATION FOR TEMPORARY SERVICES
Temporary services are those in which the contracted company will provide services for a period equal to or less than 30 days. The company must present the following documents to Brazil Iron within a maximum period of two business days before the start of activities:

  1. Employee Documents – to be delivered up to 2 days before the start of activity: a. Copy of employee registration form; b. Copy of Work Card (photo/civil qualification/contract page); c. Copy of ID and CPF and/or regional council document; d. Copy of driver’s license for drivers/equipment operators; e. Service Order – NR 1; f. Copy of legal training certificate (if required); g. Copy of PPE delivery form; h. Copy of valid ASO, according to function, activity to be performed and risks indicated in the company’s PCMSO.
  2. Service provider company documents – to be delivered at the start of activities: a. Scope of activities with description; b. Completion of a PRA at the time of activity recognition; c. PPRA – Environmental Risk Prevention Program or PGR – Risk Management Program considering service execution on site; d. PCMSO – Occupational Health Medical Control Program; e. PCMAT – in case of civil construction work with more than 20 employees, the company must provide the PCMAT; f. 5. DOCUMENTATION FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES
Emergency services are those in which the company is urgently contracted to provide specific and rapid services. The emergency state may be considered for a period of up to 5 consecutive days, and the contracted company will provide services for a period equal to or less than 10 days. The company must present the following documents to Brazil Iron within a maximum period of 2 business days after the start of activities:

  1. Employee Documents – to be delivered at the start of activity: a. Copy of employee registration form; b. Copy of Work Card (photo/civil qualification/contract page); c. Copy of ID and CPF and/or regional council document; d. Copy of driver’s license for drivers/equipment operators; e. Service Order – NR 1; f. Copy of legal training certificate (if required); g. Copy of PPE delivery form; h. Copy of valid ASO, according to function, activity to be performed and risks indicated in the company’s PCMSO.
  2. Documentos da empresa prestadora de serviço – a serem entregues no início das atividades: a. Escopo das atividades com descrição; b. Preenchimento de uma APR no momento do reconhecimento da atividade.
  3. Service provider company documents – to be delivered within 2 days after the start of activities: c. PPRA – Environmental Risk Prevention Program or PGR; Risk Management Program considering service execution on site; d. PCMSO – Occupational Health Medical Control Program; e. PCMAT – in case of civil construction work with more than 20 employees, the company must provide the PCMAT; f. LTCAT – The company must document with measurements and sampling of the quantity of potentially harmful agents listed in the PPRA that may be harmful to workers.

Note: These documents may be simplified for one-day work or according to activity risks assessed by SESMT, with written justification signed by the Contract Manager, provided they do not directly affect the safety of the service or professionals in activity.

6. DOCUMENTATION FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY LEGAL ENTITY/AUTONOMOUS/MEI

  1. To be delivered up to 2 days before the start of activity: a. Have an autonomous service provision contract; b. Service scope; c. Registration with the National Social Security Institute; d. Autonomous Payment Receipt (RPA); e. INSS payment receipt; f. Copy of legal training certificate (if required); g. Copy of valid ASO, according to function; h. Copy of ID and CPF and/or regional council document.
  2. Service provider company documents – to be delivered at the start of activities: a. Scope of activities with description; b. Completion of a PRA at the time of activity recognition; c. PPRA – Environmental Risk Prevention Program or PGR – Risk Management Program considering service execution on site; d. PCMSO – Occupational Health Medical Control Program; e. PCMAT – in case of civil construction work with more than 20 employees, the company must provide the PCMAT; f. LTCAT – The company must document with measurements and sampling of the quantity of potentially harmful agents listed in the PPRA that may be harmful to workers.

7. DOCUMENTATION FOR TECHNICAL VISITS
Technical visits are activities performed within 7 days, including supplier visits, Brazil Iron professional integration, small repairs and maintenance, such as:

8. MINIMUM SAFETY STANDARD

  1. Any type of equipment intervention shall only be performed with proper lockout of electrical parts.
  2. Interventions with energized drawers shall only be performed by Brazil Iron electricians or electricians authorized in writing by Brazil Iron through the contract manager and with adequate protection, ensuring the executor’s integrity, in accordance with NR 10.
  3. Work at heights above 2m shall only be authorized by SESMT: – Under ideal atmospheric conditions, – Using safety belts or equipment with proven and authorized training by the contractor, – Must undergo medical examination and training recertification with TST, – In places where the safety belt cannot be secured, the risk must be effectively assessed by the Workplace Safety sector, and maintenance or other sectors must be activated to ensure safety before service execution.
  4. Lift people using only lifting platforms. Alternatives can only be applied if approved by Brazil Iron’s SESMT.
  5. When lifting and transporting loads with cranes, or performing services with heavy machinery, ensure that the affected area is isolated and signaled.
  6. In confined and restricted spaces, compliance with NR 33 – Work in Confined Spaces is mandatory, requiring Entry and Work Permit (PET).
  7. Use seat belts in any vehicle, both in front and rear seats. The use of seat belts in equipment is also mandatory.
  8. When driving a pickup truck or other utility vehicle, transport people only inside the cabin. It is prohibited to transport people in the truck bed.
  9. Respect speed limits of 40 km/h in Brazil Iron’s external and internal areas, or speeds indicated by signage.

Note: Non-compliance with this standard will be considered a negligent act and will be subject to Brazil Iron sanctions. In case of doubt, contact the responsible management or Brazil Iron’s SESMT.

9. BELIEFS AND VALUES
Every accident can and must be prevented. If it is not safe, do not do it and do not allow others to do it. Safety and health are integral parts of the business. Continuous accident reduction requires everyone’s contribution. No activity is so important or urgent that it justifies its execution without safety. Safety is a basic condition of employment.

10. EXPECTED CONDUCT OF CONTRACTOR EMPLOYEES
During their stay on Brazil Iron property, Contractor employees shall not engage in dangerous, illegal and abusive conduct, including: a) Violating safety and environmental standards or common practices. b) Threatening a colleague or causing environmental damage. c) Violating Brazil Iron’s Minimum Safety Standard. d) Creating or contributing to any unsafe or unhealthy condition. e) Fighting or instigating fights. f) Theft, abuse or deliberate destruction of company property, tools or equipment. g) Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages, narcotics or illegal substances in the workplace. h) Reporting to work in inadequate conditions, including being under the influence of intoxicating or controlled substances, or misuse of any prescribed medications. i) Possession of firearms or other weapons on Brazil Iron premises. j) Any illegal attitudes or behaviors as specified in legal requirements and other requirements. k) Inadequate disposal, storage and identification of waste. l) Irrational use of natural resources. m) Hunting, commercialization and consumption of wildlife. n) Disrespect for speed limits on routes, common areas and mine excavation.

11. PERMITS FOR SPECIAL WORK
Certain work is considered risky by Literature and NR. The listed work requires specific medical examinations, qualification for activity execution and issuance of Special Work Permit – PTE or PTA or PET before work begins. This work includes: a) Work at height. b) Work in confined spaces. c) Hot work. d) Work with chemicals or flammables. e) Load lifting. f) Excavation service. g) Activities involving non-routine electricity. h) Non-routine detonations. i) Work on pressurized piping. j) Work with energized or operating TCs. Note: The use of the Special Work Permit form may only be performed upon verification and authorization by Brazil Iron’s SESMT.

12. AUTHORIZATION FOR VEHICLE OPERATION
Brazil Iron will require integration and training (Traffic Plan Presentation) with all professionals authorized to operate vehicles from contracted companies or practical testing with Brazil Iron’s SESMT or designated personnel. Only those authorized by the company in writing and cleared by SESMT may operate vehicles in the company. The contracted company must request the authorization form from Brazil Iron’s SESMT on the first business day. Authorization will only be issued by Brazil Iron’s SESMT after completion of traffic plan training (theoretical) and, if necessary, considering the driver’s practical test. SESMT may require practical testing at any time based on observation of unsafe acts by the driver or work team. ATTENTION: For operation of equipment requiring operator qualification (crane, forklift, etc.), the operator must be qualified and authorized according to current legislation and undergo specific training and testing.
