Drilling program under development totaling 50 km of subsurface investigation

Our project in the municipalities of Piatã, Abaíra and Jussiape encompasses an N-S trend of remarkable iron potential in approximately 56km, encompassing 24 contiguous mining processes. The Fazenda Mocó mine spans just a 0.8 km segment of the northern part of the project and contains 36.8 Mt of resources. The resource consists of a combination of enriched hematite breccia, itabirite and compact massive hematite. The rest of the de trend presents repetitions of the same mineralized and enclosing lithologies.
The survey has already started in the extensions and surroundings of the Fazenda Mocó Mine. During the remainder of 2020 and 2021, Brazil Iron plans to complete the diamond drilling and reverse circulation program, covering a total of 50 km of subsurface investigation.

Metallurgical Test Work

A metallurgical test program was carried out based on samples from our itabirite deposits in the northern, central and southern parts of the project. The samples were subjected to quantitative mineralogical characterization, pre-concentration by magnetic separation and conventional flotation.

The mineralogical characterization work demonstrated that the iron ore is consistent across the field length of the property. The material responded very well to preconcentration and flotation, resulting in a high grade, low contaminant pellet feed concentrate.
